MUSEUM OF THE LIVING WORKER: LIBBY MODERN

Capitalism*

Ever wonder how this place, Modern Art, stays in business? Well, look inside and maybe you’ll catch a glimpse of a real live worker, Libby Modern, as she plugs away at her computer, dutifully working on graphic design jobs (things like brochures, logos, posters, reports) for her clients. This is how Libby keeps the lights on here. It can be hard to be an artist in a capitalist system! There’s not much money to be made making interesting things that get people to think. But if Libby works hard enough in here, she may be able to sneak away into the other room and work on some real, live ART.

Hours are (generally) Monday - Friday, 9 to 5.
