Museum of the Living Worker: Kearasten Jordan

Kearasten Jordan is one of four Lancaster artists selected to participate in our 2020 Museum of the Living Worker program. Thanks to a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Modern Art created a unique artists’ residency program designed to support individuals who are seeking time and space away from their daily habits to pursue a creative project, and to highlight the importance of creative work in Lancaster by allowing visitors a literal window into the creative process.

Kearasten, an artist, seamstress, musician, stand up/sit down comic and overall pretty neat chic, spent her residency creating spontaneous mixed media works, guided by music, conversation and interaction with all who came to visit. .She explored how this process can help heal, calm, and move a body and mind through this crazy, chaotic world.
