Museum of the Living Worker: Kearasten Jordan

Monday, February 10 — Saturday, February 15
11am - 6pm (ish) daily

The Museum of the Living Worker is a unique artists’ residency program designed to support individuals who are seeking time and space away from their daily habits to pursue a creative project and to highlight the importance of creative work in Lancaster by allowing visitors a literal window into the creative process. Workers (artists) will use a room at Modern Art with a large picture window as their studio for one-week residencies. Thanks to a generous grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, we are able to support and pay four artists to participate in 2020.

Our first living worker is phenom Kearasten Jordan, an artist, seamstress, musician, stand up/sit down comic and overall pretty neat chic. Kearasten will be creating spontaneous multimedia works during her residency, guided by music. She will be exploring how the process can help heal, calm, and move a body and mind through this crazy, chaotic world.

Come by, observe, ask questions, create.
