Join us for the final night of Mixtape Metaphysics at Modern Art, featuring the of reveal of the human algorithm’s simulated reality, a scavenger hunt in the simulation, music, mixtapes, refreshments and prizes for thinking

Mixtape Metaphysics is a multimedia installation offering an opportunity to explore pressing questions about our current state of technological saturation. As AI, algorithms, and new platforms reshape our lives at dizzying speed, we’re often left without space to think through the implications—or to remember that we have minds capable of doing that thinking.

This has been that space for the past 8 months. Come help us close it all out, participate in an interactive human algorithm game, listen to a series of mixtape meditations, or just hang out and talk. We invite you to slow down and engage with ideas from philosophy, technology, and religion—not as abstractions, but as tools for making sense of the acceleration around us.

In a world increasingly enamored with machines that offer to think for us, Mixtape Metaphysics reminds us to remember how to use the very human machines inside our heads.
