ART PEEP SHOW III: Revenge of Peep

Each day of September, one artist will display their work to be viewed through a small peep hole in Modern Art's North Pine Street window. Would you like to be one of them?

Here's how it works:
Each artist will be assigned one day during the month of September to exhibit or create a piece of work inside an (approximate) 8' x 8' x  12' life-size diorama in Modern Art's Pine St. window. Anyone passing by will be able to view what you exhibit through a small peep hole into the window. Artists may display a piece of previously made artwork in the diorama, create a piece of new work while in the diorama, both, or something completely different that no one has ever thought about except you. (Jon, for example, once served a delicious seatedlunch inside the diorama, Kanga displayed a colony of penguins, Matt and Nicole set up a still-life for viewers to sketch through the window, Marlin painted his garbage.) For info on previous Modern Art Peep Shows, what kinds of things people did and what it looked like, check out our March 2020 show here: https://www.itsmodernart.com/2020-art-peep-show and our February 2018 show here: https://www.itsmodernart.com/art-peep-show.

Even more details:
↔The show will be on view beginning Tuesday, September 3 through the end of the month (or longer if needed).

↔Each artist will be assigned a day on which their piece will be displayed.

↔Artists may either install their own work on their assigned day, OR drop it off at Modern Art prior and I can set it up on the easel/table/etc. in the diorama (on your assigned day.) You can contact me about a time to drop your work off.

↔If you'd like to install your own work, or spend time in the diorama, please arrange what times you'll be in there with me.

↔There is an easel, tables, chairs and lighting at the studio for displaying. You can also hang things from the ceiling.

↔Modern Art will promote the Peep Show Artist of the Day with signs and posts as best I can, and please share and post (and make signs if you want too) yourself.

↔Artwork does not have to be on sale, but if you want, put a price on it and I'll display it.

↔Modern Art promises to take special care of your artwork, or you, while on display, but cannot be liable for anything wildly unexpected.

Are you far away and sad you can't be here for this?
You could still send me something, like an object or idea, and I'll do my very best to recreate it in the diorama using things I can find in the studio. Kindof like a weird game of Art Telephone.

Would you like to participate?
Great! Send me an email with your contact info, availability in September, and an idea about what you'd like to do if you have it (it can be preliminary).
